Just wanted to let you guys know Wildwood Springs Lodge has posted their upcoming concert schedule. There are quite a few returning acts but there are also a number of acts that might interest you guys. Heres the list;

POCO April 21-22
John Corbett May 13

Summer Series

Richie Furay May 28
Guy Clark June 23-24
Pure Prairie League July 14-15
The Amazing Rhythm Aces August 18-19

Wildwood Folk Fest Labor Day Weekend

Jimmie Dale Gilmore August 31
Karla Bonoff September 1
Livingston Taylor September 2
David Grisman Quintet September 3

The Wildwood Concert Series

Leon Russell Sept. 8-9
Taj Mahal Sept. 15-16
Dave Mason Sept. 22-23
Wildwood Stock Sep. 29-30
Poco Oct 5,6,7
Doc Watson Oct 13-14
TBA Oct 20-21
America Oct. 27-28
Jerry Jeff  Walker Nov. 3-4

I know the concerts are a bit on the pricey side but they only sell about 150 tickets to each night. You are up close and personal with the performers. Plus the performers (usually) hang out after the show and you get to visit with them. It is a truely unique experience.

Hey PJ,

Did you see that Lucy Kaplansky is playing at Off Broadway on 3/11? If you are into folk(ish) type music, she's great!

Man I LOVE Uncle Tupelo, but I just can not get into Wilco, I think it must be all the hype. I would love to see them though.
Son Volt is playing Bonnaroo this summer too, but overall the bonnaroo lineup appears a little weak at the moment.

I would like to go see Taj Mahal though in Sept.
Where are these shows located and how much are tickets?

While we're at it, there's a lot of good music coming to the Sheldon and the Bistro too. We just caught Chris Thile (from Nickel Creek) and Mike Marshall there for an awesome show of mandolin virtuosity. The Sheldon also has some great jazzers coming: DeeDee Bridgewater and Terence Blanchard.

Then there's the Bistro calendar with the legendary Ahmad Jamal trio, Patricia Barber, Benny Green and Russell Malone, Kenny Barron and the Yellowjackets to name a few.

Chris Botti is coming to the Touhill. If any of you have never been to the Touhill center, you're missing out on a really outstanding venue. The place is beautiful and the acoustics are first rate. Seeing Pat Metheny there awhile back was the best acoustically I've ever heard him in concert.

Who says there's no music scene in St. Louie?

Basically, drive out to Cuba (about 40 miles past me) and hang a left. Go about 10 more miles make another left and you are there. It takes me about 45 minutes to get there from my house (I live on the other side of Six Flags).
