I'm a long time audiophile, but an acoustic newbie. I have become tried of continuos component upgrades so I thought about acoustic treatment as a next step.

I have essentially an "L" shaped room 26' long and 17 ft wide. Its well carpeted and very few contigouis flat surfaces. Sliding glass door with Curtain, windows with wood miniblinds hollow core bathroom and closet door and 8 foot ceilings. I can rough out a 14' x14' square for the listening room but a 42" RPTV sits bewteen the two monitors and a sofa would have to be against the rear position. I don't feel bass is a problem at all and want more soundstage width and depth if possible.

My speakers are placed in the  29% of length and width configuation from the front and sides of the 14 x14 room.

I have some 705 acoustic Tile and Styrofoam slabs that I can play with.

Now you're on the right track!

Thumbs up for the former, down for the latter.
