Any opinions on this series? I'm thinking about the Ikon 2 standmount or the Ikon 6 floorstander to be fed from my Cambridge Audio Azur 640A v2 and 640C v1. I would upgrade my source component end of the year so I would like a speaker that is good enough to keep for a few years and will improve with every upgrade I make to the signal chain.
I believe my setup to be laidback so I think the detailed and supposedly brightness (from reviews I've read) will complement my setup well. It would be nice to hear anything from you guys before I haul my stuff to the dealer to audition. I can't get a home demo as I don't know this dealer.
I'm currently using standmounts namely EPOS ELS3. I never tried a floorstander before. My room is 16.5 x 9 feet. The bass doesn't extend much (65) and and the mid and upper bass though of good quality is recessed.
