Mac user needs help w/ iTunes under Windows XP

I'm a diehard Mac guy and am kinda lost when it comes to Windows. I was helping my friend setup a squeezebox. She uses iTunes running under XP.

I moved the iTunes music folder from a networked drive to the local (C) drive.

I went to iTunes Pref>Advanced and tried to point the way to the correct folder. After making the change there is a progress bar that shows the library is being updated, but the library doesn't reflect the new folder.

What gives? I tried Apple Help, and the forums there but couldn't find out why it doesn't work.

I would try selecting all songs in the library and clearing them (press Delete key but on second prompt  DO NOT send to the Recylcle Bin).
Then go to the menu and add folder to library. Select the new location for the library.  You probably shouldnt have to go through this, but I have done it when moving the folder. It also gives you (her) a chance to clean up a little if there were any duplicate songs or songs that had never been loaded to the library in the first place.
