Hi -

Thanks in advance for any thoughts - I'm new to the SB, and need some guidance!  I'm considering replacing my current Perpetual Technologies/DDS Pro front end with a SB3 and a TacT labs digital integrated.  Thus, I'm interested only in using the SB3 as a digital source.

Will upgrading the power supply benefit the SB3 if it's really only a digital transport?  I'm trying to understand if the Bolder psu option ($225) or Red Wine battery box option (about the same) is a better choice for me.

Please let me know what you all think!

To piggyback on one more question -

Is there a simple linear PSU that you can use instead of the wall wart that isn't DIY?  I've read a number of threads on this, and they seem to all require either packaging a bare transformer, or doing a bunch of cutting work on a surplus unit.

Plus, would this provide none, some, or all of the benefit of the $300 options from the major modders?
