SB2 vs SB3

Aside from features ( they are the same) and aesthetics, are they any advantages of buying one model over the other?

I'd be interested in this also. After reading all the glowing reviews, it's getting hard to resist. Is it really that good?

If you want yours to have aftermarket modifications, the SB2 has more real estate inside so that the additional capacitors won't stick out the back.

If you don't want yours modded, pick the one whose aesthetics and form factor appeal to you.

Both models have suffered from manufacturing defects, but in Slimdevices' defense, they have good customer support to rectify the situation. (1) (2) (3)

As I understand, one other minor difference is the
internal power supply for the digital buffer chips is now powered by a
linear regulator in the SB3 which is supposed to be soncially better.
