Extreme Mono fuses: Bussman GDB 6.3A 250V fast blow

Has anyone located the fuses in the title locally, some place like Lowes, Home Depot, Rat Shack, etc? If so, please PM. I can find them from on-line vendors, but would rather get them locally. In advance, thanks for your help - and yes, I'm aware there's a spare fuse under the IEC of each Extreme Mono.

Under the IEC prongs (power cord plugs in here). You'll see small writing/image. Beneath the prongs there's a lip/detente, it's somewhat hinged and you'll have to pull this plastic piece toward you with some force. There's also a working fuse in this unit that's held by metal clips, along with the spare fuse (the spare is held in a rectangular plastic box).

Ah, yes. Sort of like the Tempest then? But the Tempest spare fuse is in the same compartment as the working fuse. I take it the only working fuses in the Mono are inside on the board?

BTW, can Klaus source these fuses for you?

There are 4 working fuses on the board, 1 working fuse in the IEC receptacle, and 1 non-working fuse in the IEC receptacle.

Figured I'd try the forum 1st w/o bothering Klaus.

Can you tell me how many fuses' are in the Stratos Extreme(Non Mono)
I thought I blew a fuse about a month ago but everything seems to be OK now...I would like to check though.  Also how can you tell that you blew a fuse? Other than it does not play music...

A blown fuse will usually look blackened inside.

You should be able to get fuses at Radio Schack or perhaps a Fry's if you have it where you are.
I got mine at RadioShack

Rosconey - yes, I found places that have them on-line, but I'm trying to purchase locally first.

Sonny - I've already tried two Rat Shacks in NH and they do not carry this fuse. They do have a 6.3A slow-blow fuse, but the Extreme Mono uses a fast fuse. Fye does not have them.

Sonny

that's too bad....

perhaps for all the mono extreme owners out there, maybe we should get a bulk order of the fuses...

Well, seeing that apparently there's nothing locally available in my area, I purchased a couple 5-packs from McMaster-Carr.

Edit: received these on Friday, 1/27. To me, that's pretty fast shipping for ordering them the evening of 1/24.
