These are really great recordings.  Better than 99% of the remasters on the commercial market.  I featured them at CES this year.

Bob will also be offering 24/96 high-res files on CD-R soon, for those that playback from the computer.

I have always felt (and heard) that high-speed analog tape, not vinyl is the best sound one could get in one's playback system. But with tape decks one always had maintenance issues, potential problems with tape storage and wear and tear on both the tape decks and tapes themselves.

The idea that CDs made with loving care from high-quality tape masters is therefore very, very interesting to me. I'll be giving their website another look.

I've been playing the sampler cd for a few days now...it's excellent !! I'm not big into Classical, but this cd reminds me very much of what I hear when I play the newer Living Stereo hybrid releases, and Mercury Living Presence releases. Pick up the sampler, and get a taste.... http://highdeftapetransfers.com/releases.html ....(8 excerpts - 56 min. 30 sec.). :D

I found the release page on HDTT's website inaccessible, the list of releases is just a big JPG file. I wrote them and Robert responded, sending me a link to the store front itself which is accessible to my screen reading software. He also said they'd work on getting that page updated to a standard HTML file with good "screen-readable" text.

Very nice, I'll be buying the sampler this week.
