New review of the 9.02 Ref 9 with the benchmark DAC.  Doesn't completely reflect my experiences.  He mentions that he preferred the ref 8 which I didn't - possibly he is using higher sensitivity speakers than I am.

I thought the Positive Feedback review was the closest so far to my experiences.

I talked to Frank so I think I can correct this misunderstanding.  The way I interpreted the review (and I know he is using the Ref 9.02 as his reference amps) is that he preferred Ref 8 versus the original Ref 9 (version 9.0).  He is very happy with 9.02. Oh well, happy until the next great amp comes along   .  So we have to keep innovating ...
