Clarinet question
« on: 21 Jan 2006, 04:27 pm »
I just installed the volume, balance and selector for the Clarinet.  These were the recommended Digikey parts.  I did clip the "front" feet (the ones nearest the front edge of the board.  Two questions:

1. The "back" feet rest very, very close to a trace.  Is this a problem?  Could this cause an "arc"?
2. I have enough room under the "front" feet to slide a thin rubber insulator.  This seems to make good, common sense.  Any problems here?

Thanks.

No problems here.  All traces signal level (~1V).

Thanks.  I am looking forward to feeding my Cornet2 to my Clarinet.  I am hoping the separation of my analog system from my HT system will help the small problem I have with hum.  This is not a real big deal, but I just think there must be something about those 30 wires that feed the HT system that cause this.
