Do you like my Flash buttons?

Howdy Everyone,

I just added Flash animation navigation buttons to my  website.

If anyone is having trouble viewing these fancy buttons let me know as I have to work the kinks out so they are visible to all.

Thanks!

I say no.  Flash is used for ads too often.  On all computers other than my personal desktop I have it disabled.  I'm sure others do the same.  Focus on information, quality pictures, and easy navigation.  Spinning buttons do not help sell products.  All they do is annoy and add extra load time.

My 2 cents. :-)

I don't care for them either.  When I go to a site I just want it to be fast and easy to navigate. The info is all I want.

Flash  is great and your buttons make good use of it.  Looks good.

What do buttons that spin backwards add to your product, image, or site?  How are they going to help sell more isolators?

From what I can tell, not much if anything.  I think flash is neat stuff... very clean and interesting.  When you're showing how something works, like a moving diagram, it's great.  Or a 'virtual world' of some sort to help visualize something...

Flash used for an effective purpose is great.  Flash for the sake of Flash is bad.

I have to agree that Flash is absolutely great for animations and explaining how things work.

Spinning buttons, however, are just kind of irritating.  (Although I have certainly seen more irritating uses of Flash).  I would prefer to see them just highlight or change color or something, but the spinning, to me, is distracting.

I was looking at a site today that was totally Flashed.  Everytime I clicked on something, it said "Loading...".  Maybe that was the product for me, but I'll never know - I had to bail.

Thanks everyone for the responses!

This is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for.

I'm going back to the drawing board to make them simpler and less obnoxious.

Thanks!

Dump the flash.

I know plenty of people that have flash disabled in their browsers. Which makes things a bit of a pain in the ass when flash is used for things like buttons since they just show up as an x...

Mine either.  Besides having browser issues and being blocked, they also are larger and take time to load.  I'd rather have a nice quick site that I can move around in quickly and effectively than pretty moving buttons.

I can't say that they are cheesy or distract from the quality of the site. Afterall, you only click on them and move about. I guess I am neutral so I didn't cast a vote.

I will say they work just fine for me except I didn't get no $20 bill from my CD drive when I hit the jackpot. Does it have to be a DVD drive?
