Vintage Marantz Repairs: Where to Send?

A buddy has one channel not working on a Marantz 2275 receiver. Any suggestions for a good repair place? We're not popping the top, cleaning it or soaking it: no DIY please. It needs to take a trip. Appreciate your help, thanks.

There's an excellent tech. in Southfield, MI who might be able to help you out. His name is Mike and his e-mail is hifitech@comcast.net. Hope this helps.

Get a hold of Larry ( owner ) of Hollywood Sound .He is a good man and has tons of marantz stuff and has very much knowledge in Marantz. I bought a 2238 Marantz from him that was fully cleaned and checked out. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with...He usually has vintage stuff for sale on Audiogon and you can check there to find him. Just go into Audiogon/Vitnage and pop in Marantz and he'll more than likely pop up.. Good luck

Try Randal Young or acronym EZEKIEL in Audiogon.  He specializes in vintage gear.  He totally and entirely rebuilt a Harman Kardon 730 Twin Powered receiver I fetched from Ebay with all sort of SOTA newer parts, going step by step and charging more than affordable rates.  Not many are as honest and as affordable, asides from being extremely competent as him.

My "new" receiver sound more like a 4K all in unit rather than a common, mid fi receiver that is 26 years old.
