Rip DVD-A to Macintosh?

Hi, I'm ripping all my audio disks to my Macintosh computer, and now want to begin on my small collection of DVD-As. Anyone know if it's possible to rip DVD-A to hard drive, preserving the higher resolution of that format? TIA!

You can extract the audio component of a DVD-Video, but you
cannot rip a DVD-Audio disc
.
There used to be a black-market plugin to WinDVD that would trick it into doing it, but DMCA lawyers swarmed and it is no longer available. Furthermore, WinDVD proactively removed support for the plugin, so you would have to use an older version if you possessed the hack at all.
