Question for experienced A-Goners
« on: 14 Jan 2006, 01:13 am »
How long does it generally take between paying for and submitting a classified and the actual appearance of your ad?  I've bought a couple times in the past but just did my first for-sale ad and it's not showing up yet (about 30 minutes).  I've sold a lot on Ebay, too, but I can't remember how long it takes there, either, so I don't know if I have a problem.

Thanks, guys! :)

That's some seriously good feedback.  I had pretty extensive feedback at Ebay and had good luck there, but with all the flakes over there I decided to pack it in for Agon.

Most of the time Audiogon has just been a couple of minutes between submission and it showing up.

Maybe one time it took longer for me when they were updating the database at night.

For me it took about 4 hours before it actually came up. Now you have to pay for the ad upfront ( c/card etc. ) or they ill wait until you ckeck gets processed thru the sytem and can take week-10 days .

I still think it's a better value than Ebay, even at $6.  There's more features in the standard add w/o upcharges, and no "final value" fee after you sell.  All in all, not a bad deal at all.
