I was helping my friend setup a brand new SB3. All was fine until I left the room to launch slimserver. When I returned the display was blank. Tried the usual  things like unplug/replug PS, reboot server etc.

Don't have my meter w/ me to see if PS is functioning.

No reply from Slim email tech support and can't get them on the phone.

any suggestions?

Hey Doc,

Did you post on their forum? Also, did you check the outlet to make sure it's "hot"?  Sorry to hear you are having problems.  I just got my modded SB3 and it sounds great.  Very cool and easy to use.

Hi Jack,

I'm glad to hear you joined the Squeezebox crowd. I have a Red wine audio modded SB2 that I think is "da bomb"!    I was telling Phil how great they were during our discussions at the Chicago DIY event. Has Phil taken the plunge yet?

BTW, the pizza restaurant that you recommended to my wife and I was and is the best pizza I've ever had. Thanks for your guidance. It was great!

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hijack the thread with my conversation with Jackman. It sounds to me like you may need to rest the hardware. Try the following.

Here are the processes to do hardware resets:

Perform these after disconnecting the power and while powering the SB up.

1. Hold down the brightness key causes a firmware update.

2. Holding ADD while powering on resets to the factory default settings.

3. Holding down the power button -> full hardware reboot

4. press 1 during reset or power on -> re-flash xilinx cpld (io ports)
