First....you have a few more....
    [/list:u]
Then you lay this on the floor (soft side up)....[/list:u]
      [/list:u]
Then add a few of these....[/list:u]
        [/list:u]
          And...if you want...a good pillow (or two)...[/list:u]
          [/list:u]
            [/list:u]
Then you sleep it off... :jester: [/list:u]
                Happy listening.... [/list:u]

Do you have 8th Nerve Response treatments?  I almost bought them once but when they announced the new series I figured it might be wise to wait.  Now that work is slower I'd like to get some acoustic treatment up and running. :)

Oh, yeah- just now noticed it!   Perhaps.  It's nice of you to offer, but I wonder if it wouldn't take me a month to figure out how to hook up and use it!

That's very kind of you.  Perhaps I will.  Now that I have some time I could get it installed and try it out in short order.  The only problem is that if it rocks, I'll end up stuck with a stock one after living with a modded one.

Although I'll probably be contacting Wayne or Vinnie shortly.   I wonder if either of them sells units already modded?

Costco $15.60 or so for a pack of 15.

          Wal-mart $6.50 (I think) pack of 4.

Just a little information for a favorite.

I know your question was tongue in cheek, but I actually tested beer cans once (by ear, not in a lab). I wanted to see if a few six packs stacked up to create a small wall would be an effective diffusor. It was not. It seems like the convex surfaces might help to diffuse sound, rather than reflect straight back in the same direction. But the concave areas between the cans negated any benefit because they focused the sound. It wasn't just "a wash," but actually sounded worse than a bare wall.

HHmmm - beer can diffuser - interesting. might work for about 4Khz and up but what I'm looking for is a diffuser/ absorber in the 30Hz range. Maybe I just need more Guinness  :D

Ditch the cans.  Go to wooden kegs or barrells.  I am sure you can build a 30Hz resonator out of them after you drink them dry!

A true scientist would test them first full, then empty each can one by one to determine the effect on the sound.

Fill a large number of them partially with different amounts of sand, polyfill, and foam rubber.  Make a wall of them with the holes facing the room and you'll have yourself a multi-tuned helmholtz absorber.  The Romans used clay jars in a similar manner to quiet their stone wall rooms.
