A poll- how do you guys use your SB, be it stock or modded: thru the analog outs or as a transport feeding an external DAC?

I'm using digital out to a Benchmark DAC1. I'd love to hear from others if an analog modded w/PS compares to running an outboard Dac like the DAC1.

I am using a stock SB3, with a Bolder PS, through the analog outputs, direct to a gainclone amp.

I intend to get the full mods, and intend to use the analog outputs - I sold off a Mensa with Bolder PS, after hearing the stock SB3, but still think I may, at some point..., use the digital output, so I will pony up for the full mods, to allow future flexibility.

I couldn't find the digital input on my Scott 222, so I'm just using the analog outs from the SB2.

I have a modded (and unmodded) SB2 and have purchased two sets of interconnects. I plan on comparing the SB2's analog out (to preamp) with digital out to my Ack Dack 2.0 then from the Ack to my preamp. As I'll use the same ICs on both the SB2 and the Ack, this should be a very valid test. Anyone who lives near CT is welcome to come over. I could also use my Proceed AVP as a DAC.

My modified SB2's feed a digital signal to my modified TacT preamp.

I use the analog outs in an office/2nd system but if I was using it in my main rig, it'd be like George's, digital out to the TacT.

I have a Red Wine Audio SB3 with just the analogue out mods. I feed the analogue outs into a mixing desk.
