Help with Mods to Sony 200-disk CD Changer

I have a Sony 200-disk changer (about 5 or so years old) that I'd like to modify to produce superior sound. I'm thinking of starting with swapping the input and output coupling caps for equivalent value film and foil, upgrading the power supply rectifying diodes to HyperFRED or Cree SiC Schottky, and maybe upgrading the clock. Anyone have any experience modifying one of these units? Any pitfalls to watch out for? Any recommendations on caps (I'm thinking polystyrene or teflon film and foil) or superclocks? Any other areas to mod that I haven't listed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can do the work you should consider upgrading the opamp in the analog output stage to an OPA2134 or an AD8620. What is in there right now
is likely to be a 1volt/msec 10cent opamp. The bulk of your problems are in the analog output stage. This has to be fixed before anything else. If you leave this in there you are polishing a turd and wasting time and money. Scotty

Scotty, I can definitely do the work, and plan to.

This is the type of feedback I was looking for. So, if I replace the opamps and the rest of what I mentioned, am I set? I should probably also replace the cheap RCA jacks, and clean the laser. Anything else?
