Has anyone used the Speltz Anti-Cables?  I'm curious what feedback I can get on them.

It'll be kind of a pain and weird but.. I have the following cables right now:
SC's: Tara, Anti-cables, Reality cables (and can borrow Analysis Plus Oval 9)
IC's: Audience Conductor, Reality cables

Maybe I'll just PM him.  He mentions owning the Anti's, but I see no direct comparison to the other cables.

Thanks, though!

I've used the Spelz wire and sold mine to fabaudio and he still has it in his rig. I went back to some zip cord I bought at Walmart as I am not much of a wire believer. It was a cool red color though...

After reading one of Richard's posts where he says Roger Modjeski uses lamp cord with his $3000.00 SET amp, well I just had to get some :D

I sold some too. I'm not one to sit around trying to figure out the small details of the sonics of wire, but Bolder m-80's sounded better w/ more bass.

They were pretty good but in the end annoyed me... They had an upper midrange glare that got in the way of enjoying music.  At first listen, they were great, though.... because I thought they were extracting more midrange than I had in my Tara's.

They were a little better than the Tara's in bass/midbass, though.  I never got to do the direct-comparison with the Analysis Plus.

Once I heard Gregg's 'Reality Cables' it was a done deal.  Very refined from top to bottom on tube, SS, and digital gear.  They're by far the most 'real' sounding cable I've ever heard.

Speltz cables are just inductor wire so, you can just buy it in bulk and make your own for a few bucks.

I have about 100 feet of the Anti-Cable and will be experimenting soon. My intentions were to completely rewire the Usher D2s with this wire (from external x-over to each module).
I am a HUGE fan of the ZERO-Autoformers in the right applications and have several of these around
I will first try it out in a typical speaker wire set-up. It's not much more than other typical speaker cable so miricles should not be expected.
I'll be back with my thoughts.

I sold mine off as well, glare and kind of a pain to work with.

I am using the same kind of cable as the anti (magnet wire in solid coil copper) but in 10GA verses Paul's12GA.  They are in a bi-amp configuration with a Pass Labs X-350 for the mids/highs and The Innersound active crossover/amp combo for the low end.  The speakers they are going to are Innersound Eros MKII.

There are a couple of "tricks" I found to increase the sound.  They now sound much better than the Kimbers did.

The tricks: 1) No spades or banana plugs, wrap the wire on the posts and tighten. 2) Use Silclear from Mapleshades on all ends before connecting. 3) Once the wires are ran, bundle them tightley using zip ties about every 18" and elevate about 1" off the floor.

A couple of things I can get away with the magnet wire that I could not with any other cable I have used, that is that is does not degrade the sound: 1) Cable lengths do not have to be equal.  One set is about 5' while the other is about 15'. 2) Once the cables are bundled, I use a 1" black wraping around them.  The results are, all you see is a 1" black "hose" going from the amps to the right speaker then to the left speaker.

The cables being bundled sound much better than when they were seperated by the way.  I don't know why, they just do!

I am curious to know what your verdict is on the anti-cables
.

In all honesty Frank, I have been so crazy busy that I installed them just yesterday into a system. I did not wire the D2s with them yet as this would require about 70 feet of anti-cable with 16 seperate runs. Just haven't found the time yet.

Where I have them, a 6 ft pair,  buring now is in one of my burn-in systems consisting of a Jolida 1501RC driving a pair of Musica Bella SP/AV-1 speakers.

I want to give them another day or so before sitiing down and really listening. I will say I have no objections at all so far.
