I want to post my room diagram in the gallery, created with the MS Visio program recommended by a member.

What type of file should I save the diagram as (in visio), for the purpose of posting it in the gallery?  I saved it as a visio file, JPG, word, & something like "web page".  The gallery refused them all.

Thanks for your help, a very, a very much

GIF files are usually best for line drawings and text.

If you send it to me, I can convert it at home (I have Visio at home but not at work).

My Visio drawings in my gallery are jpg files.  No problem for them.

Ted,

Of course JPG format works. One problem with JPG files for drawings is lines and text end up with artifacts and blemishes around the edges. And the files are often larger than an equivalent GIF would be. Of course, for photos GIF files look much worse than JPGs, and then the GIFs are often larger too. Sometimes I'll save a file both ways to see which is smaller and / or clearer.
