I have just received a new shipment of the WBT NextGen female 75 ohm RCA connectors. WBT has changed the outside screw collar to a gray plastic from the gold plated metal.
I called up WBT-USA to ask about this. I was told that WBT found that the gray plastic collar will reduce magnetic eddy currents. ALL of the new product coming into this country will now be using the gray collar.
All SB mods shipped from today on will have the plastic collar instead of the metal.
