I am interested in getting a new PS for my SB3. I don't want to do anything but order it online. Nothing but plug it in. Suggestions? Also I am not interested in any of the stupid $200 ones.

Thanks a bunch!!

The SB3 I own came with a power supply.  I'm listening to it now.
I'm not sure of the intelligence of my power supply but I think it's smart enough. :?

Would you be interested in a smart $200 one?

I use a HP/Agilent  6281A that I got on E-bay for 63% of $200.  I think it is wicked smart.

Yes, I've a suggestion, stay on point and keep your obvious issues to yourself. That qualifying adjective 'stupid' is unnecessary. Metrics are personal, and one man's foolish expenditure is another's bargain.

As to cheap SOB improvements (my fave) look at the Lab section and you'll find links to a table wart linear supply from Hosfelt @$7, as well as an unenclosed PowerOne linear supply $2.50, from Cascade Surplus, though you'll have to supply your own enclosure and cables for that PowerOne. Folks who've used them seem to think they're a reasonable expenditure.
If you've the requisite diy skillset, consider building a Felicia for the ps or for any and all source components.

Occam
