Mounting foil inductor on xover board

Should I be concerned about using silicone or hot melt glue to mount a foil inductor to a pegboard xover board?  The only reason I ask is that, according to my research, foil inductors use a thin film to separate each winding, as opposed to wire inductors which use a coating on the wire.  Since the foil is essentially bare on the edges, will there be any bleed-over via the silicone or glue (will the adhesive conduct any electricity)?

Thanks,

You could use a brass nut and bolt to mount the coil. Cut a piece of wood a little smaller than the diameter of the coil, drill the appropriate size hole in the centre to accept the bolt, place it on top of the coil and fasten it to the pegboard. You could even use a non conductive damping material under the coil.

Artcos - Hotmelt glue should work fine. Those glue sticks don't get hot enough that they'd compromise the inductor's insulation (I think???) I have used latex based silicone caulk for the same purpose effectively, and if you flow it through the holes in your pegboard, it should maintain a good grip. I've not used solvent based silicones, so I don't know if they would compromise the foil's insulation.
Another alternative would be those cable ties that you cinch and have to cut to release. You'd probable have to open up some of the holes on the pegboard to pass the ties through.

Occam is right in regards to using plastic ties to hold the coils to the pegboard.  I did this with a pair of MBOW1 monitors I built a while back, it was easy, and held the inductors tight to the board.  No need to wait for something to dry, no worrys about reactions between the adhesive and the coil, etc.

I use hot glue for all my crossover assemblies. After using the glue, I then use the "zip ties". I only do this to assure speakers will stay intact during shipping. You would not have to do both. I have never had any problems with the glue.

Thanks all!
Based on this information I will probably go with the cable ties and leave it at that.  The only reason I may still use glue is so the coil does not vibrate on the xover board and make noise when the speakers are being driven.  Your input has been very helpful.
