One channel of 4B-ST is dead?
« on: 22 Dec 2005, 07:27 pm »
My 4B-ST have served me well for over 6 years. But someday, one of the channel can't make sound suddenly. The pre-amp functions normally. What happened to my 4B-ST? The fuse seemed O.K. Thanks for any opinion!!

I am not at all an expert on anything electricial; but several years ago I had the right channel stop functioning in a Rotel amp I had.  I checked the fuse and it looked to be in perfect condition so I thought it must be something more serious and took the amp in for repair....sure enough all it needed was a new fuse.  I would change the fuse if you have one just to be sure.

Two led appeared green , it seems function well. Will it be helpful if I switch the button(unbalanced-balanced and individual-bridged) repeatedly, supposed it is due to switch contact problem?

Good News:
The problems is solved. I switch the individual-bridged and balanced-unbalanced button repeatedly. It did work. The sound come back.
