Sealed sub's typically work best in conjunction with Totem products. The first choice would be any sub by REL Acoustic or designs similiar thereof (Mj Acoustics, Vandersteen, ACI). A great cheap alternative would be an Onix UFW-10.

Totem just released the "Storm". Thus far I have not had a chance to hear the unit, and I haven't heard from anyone who has experience with this new sub.

The Lightning and Thunder, while good subs in their own right, are more 'me too' products. In other words, they would be a great match, but you can do better for the money.

To re-itterate what's stated above, I would go with a high quality REL sub and call it a day - although there are a few aforementioned (and probably some I failed to mention) that are worth investigating as well.

Thanks, AM6-ZERO.

I certainly will look into REL sub. Do i need bass management to direct bass to the sub or sub already has its own crossover?

thanks again.

Any of the above subs will have a cross-over.

As for which REL to choose - well, thats a tougher question.  It really depends on how much output you are looking for, spacial constraints, et all.

I'm looking at Onix UFW-10 . This one fits my bill but it does not have high level input and my pre-amp  does not have cross over.

Michaelv,

The UFW-10 has a pair of analog in's along with a parametric EQ (crossover).. you will not need a pre amplifier with cross over settings, or an external x-over. The ULW-10 on the other hand (the lesser expensive sub) will require a pre/pro of some sort.

A6M-ZERO,
Unfortunately, my 2 channel system contains pre-amp and amp. So, i think i will look into other subwoofers. HSU STF-2 is my second choice...or if i'm lucky to find a good deal on Totem subwoofer like Thunder or Lighting.

thanks for the suggestions.

Just run a splitter from the pre-amp L/R outputs with one line going to the Amp and the other line going to the sub. This allows you to run any line-level subwoofer amp.

This is the best little(and cheap) sub I have heard.  Read some of the reviews.  I am tommychainsaw in one of the reviews.  The 15" does not sound that good.  The 10" is soooooooooo musical!
