AIFF vs. Apple Lossless

I know that these are both lossless and that AIFF if uncompressed and ALAC or Apple Lossless is compressed but is there any advantage to using AIFF if you 're not concerned about storage space?
Does either sound better?  I'm using Itunes and an SB3.
Thanks,
Bill

I have not been able to hear a difference between the two in my own experiments.  Maybe my system does not have high enough resolution as some would say.....blah, blah, blah.  Many others have reported no difference in the Computer Audio threads on AA.  It's basically a storage issue as far as I'm concerned--being that isn't an issue, listen for yourself.

Cheers,

If file space is not an issue then there is nothing with straight .wav rips..... With EAC. I did that for awhile and switched to AA because aparantly you can convert back and forth with zero loss. That is good enough for me. Plus I saved my harddrive from being full.
