New line source update. WOOFERS!!!

Just a quick update on the long awaited LS-6 and LS-9 project.

As most of you know there has been considerable delay in getting the Adire XBL^ motor structure implemented properly.

Well, this morning I received the latest on the prototypes. The response curve looked good and they finally hit all of my design parameters.

I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

I couple of samples will be air mailed over for approval but I don't think there will be any issues with these. All looks good. They just had to hang enough motor on it to get the BL up and the rest fell into place.

If all goes well then they will be able to do the same with the M-130 woofer too. It may have a little bigger magnet strapped onto it this time and that may bump the cost up a little, but it should hit the numbers too.

Great news! So will the XBL/2 m-130 have more X-Max, and if they're ready in time will they be available for the GR-Research OBsession (my name for the open baffle design)?

Nope. This design uses the standard woofers. It is sounds great.

In the works, but LS-6 and LS-9 are first.

BTW, at 8:30 last night, UPS delivered the A/V-3 center channel kit. The ship time from your place to mine continues to be one day (at standard rates). Thanks for jumping on it, packing it and getting it out the door. Now comes major bondoing, sanding and painting of the cabinet and I just might get it finished in time for Christmas for my daughter.
