Does anyone have any experience with these speakers? Or for that matter any suggestions of comparable speakers in the same price range?

I had a pair of them for about four or so years. Lot's of good bass. Nice midrange and good high end. Well worth the $1900 I paid for them. You might be able to get them for $800 on audiogon.

I owned a pair of V.3's . I owned them for about a year .

I liked them very much. But you need to listen for yourself and listen to other speakers as well . You just might find out you like another sound.

The 100's will do a great job though.

I found the Paradigms to be pleasant.Depending on room and amplifier used will be the breaking point. The bass can be flabby if your not using a power plant amplifier and have them atleast 3 to 5 ft from the rear walls. IMHO the Soliloquy 6.3 is a much more refined speaker ..that's roughly the same price used. It's also much easier to drive. A real 25 wpc will drive the hell out of them .

Well built, good content value, but the Active 20 (except for the deepest bass) performed as well for less money and included the amps.  Has no personality, sounds like it was designed by a committee (that can be good or bad).  A good "hi-fi" sounding speaker (I've moved on).

I had the Studio 100 v2 speakers for about three years. A long time for me!  I used them for both home theater and music. As I got more into the music side of things, I felt it was time for an upgrade and ended up with VMPS RM30's. I always experienced listener fatigue after listening to the 100's for an hour or so. With the RM30's, I can listen for hours on end with no problems. A huge step up in my opinion. If you have a sub, you could probably do well with the 626's also.
