Odyssey Stratos Mono Blocks and Paradigm Studio 100's

Is anyone out there running this combo? I am looking at a Bryston 4B SST as well. Do you guys think the Statos will match nicely with the Studio 100's or is the Bryston a better bet? And input would be greatly appreciated.

I know a good friend and customer who normally listens to por and rock that finds the combination a perfect match, he doesn´t post in this board but in general that was his general comentary.

i ran the Studio 100 v3s first with a Rotel rb 1080 and it sounded compressed .i was going to buy the stratos extreme but after i talked to Klaus and based apon his recomendation i bought a pair of Khartago monos because Klaus said the studio 100s thrive on high current and the Khartago monos had 100 amps of current. this combination woke up the Paradigms and was like night and day compared to the Rotel RB1080 amplifier. six months later i opted to get a pair of mono extremes and i am so pleased that i dont think i will ever need to buy another power amplifier again. i have since retired the studio 100 v3s in favor of the Odyssey Loreleis and if you ever get a chance to listen to the Loreleis, you will know why.thanks....WCW III

So, how much bass do the Odyssey Loreleis have? I am also looking at the Legacy Audio Signature III's and Studio 100's of course. I am really looking for low end extension. I mainly listen to rock music, and I like to FEEL the kick drum!

Good starting points are asking Klaus and forum posters, as well as reading the 6moons review. FYI - one of the lines from the 6moons review is, "Choked-with-envy bass performance, anybody?"

the Quality of the bass with the Loreleis is outstanding and if anyone has a pair in your area that you can listen to ,by all means check them out. from top to bottom the Loreleis will outshine the Paradigm reference studio 100 V3s. in fact i have both speakers in my living room and i no longer feel the need to hook up the 100 V3s again.the Paradigms are a very good loudspeaker but they cant even play in the same yard as the Loreleis. i may sound a little biased in my opinion but facts are stubborn things! the Loreleis are exact clones of the $7000.00 Symphonic Line Legato loudspeaker up to and including the Scanspeak drivers and the Symphonic Line crossovers and they are also a beautiful piece of furniture too. thanks....WCW III

All that low end from just one 6.3 inch driver? I was looking at the Legacy Sig III because of it's 3 10's (one downward firing). So the Loreleis really have that much Bass? Wow. I'm out in San Francisco, doubt there are ant out this way to hear...

Hey LFE, the Scanspeak 8545 i believe is a 6.8" diameter midbass driver and is made of a carbon fiber composite material and is considered to be one of the best drivers of its type in the world, the 8545 is only part of the story. the biggest contributing factor to the stellar bass performance of the Lorelei is the German made Symphonic Line crossover and if you look at the Six moons review of the Loreleis that dbjnh provided a link to earlier in this thread you will see that the crossover is absolutely huge. the wire that Rolf Gemien of Symphonic Line specified for use in the Mundorf coils is 2.5 mm and had to be specialy made to order for these coils. these loudspeakers are hand made using the best electronic parts, drivers and internal wiring and are an absolute steal for Klaus.s asking price of $2700.00 per pair.the Loreleis single 6.8" midbass driver makes much better bass than the Studio 100 v3s three 6.5" woofers and as i have both models of Loudspeakers sitting here in my living room it was very easy for me to make the comparison .thanks....WCW III

What finish did you get? I ordered mine 2 years ago almost to the day of you post! Merry Christmas to me it was!! Although I didn't get them until early February, it was worth the wait. They are very yummy!
