What is a good asking price for my Supratek Chardonnay

I'm selling my beloved Chardonnay linestage (no remote) and wanted to know what fellow audiophiles think it might be worth before I post a classified ad (this has been very helpful to me in the past).

I purchased it 9/03. It is in perfect working order and looks great (due to age, I would rate it 8/10). With NOS input tubes, customs expenses, state tax and halo tube dampers, the total investment (without shipping) = about $2,500. Mine has an antique copper finish (don't know if this option is still available).  I have the original manual and box.

I currently use a universal (apl hifi) with a transformer coupled triode ouptut stage directly connected to my amp (tubed hybrid). Since I don't have other source components, there is no need for a preamp. While I've been thinking about keeping the Supratek as a collector's item, I've decided to sell it in order to finance future upgrades to the universal.

The Supratek is built only by its designer, so the waiting period is between 6 and 12 months.

Thanks.

Phil

I think you should sell it to me for five bucks and a carton of camels.  To anyone else 65% of what you paid for it because the wait is very long andd this is an extremely desirable piece.  Good luck smoker!
