Album/track info for CDParanoia?

Album/track info for CDParanoia?

My "new" music server is running Slackware Linux.  I am ripping CDs with CDParanoia.  How can I get Album and track info to be incorporated into the ripping process?

Use grip.  cdparanoia rips to .wav format which contains no metadata.  If you want the album and track metadata, you'll need to encode the .wav file.  I suggest using grip to encode it to lossless FLAC format.  grip has cdparanoia built in.  You may have to download and install FLAC from source and then configure grip to use it.
