I'm confused (this happens often)...
What is the difference between the 14B ST/ 6B ST and their SST version.
I rarely see mention of these pieces. Where these made only for a very short time? Are they basically the same as the SST but produced prior to the across the board redesign and name change?

Just a general description of any differences will be fine. Much more will be lost on me.

If memory serves me, I believe both of those models were the first units to receive the SST technology.  So, if you find a 6B-ST for example it is likely no different than the 6B-SST.

Correct - other than the SST has a slightly different power supply.
