Etesian question.
« on: 28 Oct 2005, 07:34 pm »
Does anyone know if there are any available upgrades for the Etasian preamp.

Is the remote available for this?

Or can you upgrade the components?  Would it be worth trying?

I hope that did not sound like a smart arse answer.  The Etesian can be upgraded to a Tempest.  Other than that, there are no upgrades.

I got a good laugh, and did not think anything of it.
I have not been able to find any info in English on the Etasian and have been very surprised by Klaus' ability to offer upgrades.  The remote would be great.
I do no understand the differance in performance from a passive vs. active pre.

Hey Andy, a passive preamplifier controls volume but offers no gain to the amplifier. an active preamplifier boosts the signal coming from the source and has more effect on the audio signal because it has gain. i am no electrical engineer but this is how i have come to understand the difference. thanks....WCW III
