is there really a difference in sound?

I am delving into my first diy amp with a friend and I am curious is there really a difference in the sound between the more expensive rca connectors and binding posts over the basic el cheapo ones?  Some of theses WBT etc ones can be REALLY expensive lol.
I can understand capacitor quality making a difference but we are really talking metal here although different metals can be better conductors.

Comments?

Thanks,
Dan

Yes there is a difference...you might just prefer the cheaper ones.

Eichman and WBT low mass are very good.

Vampire has a lot of followers for RCA's as well.

If you use spades on the amp side of your speaker cable, you might want to run the signal (output) cables through the amp chasis to Cardas binding posts.  That way it is an output wire to speaker wire connection with NO speaker binding post in the signal path.
