Vinnie,

Have you considered exploring upgrades for the Sonos?  Seems like the large enclosure would be ideal for working in, especially if one were to remove the internal amp.  Also, the controller may be a good alternative for people who need a GUI that consists of more then a 320x32 greyscale vacuum fluorescent display and a remote.  Just thought I'd throw it out there...

Welcome and thanks for posting.

The Sonos certainly looks interesting.  Currently,  I am flooded with work, spread a little too thin, and do not have the time to invest in exploring mods for this unit.  I'm also not sure if there is enough interest.  In the future, who knows?  The SB2 has gained tremendious popularity since I began offering mods for it, and it seems to offer the most bang for the buck.  Regarding the desire for an alternative GUI, devices like TelCanto look very promising:
