Adire Rava Replacement - current value sub on market?

Hello,

Looking to go stereo sub in the future. Had always planned to buy another RAVA but I see now that Adire has the RAVA2 for $800! I paid $400 for my original RAVA and $1600 seems a bit steep an investement to run 2 subs.

So whats the current sealed sub value out there? I see that VMPS has those passives, thats about all I've come up with so far.

I think this PartsExpress kit (12" / 500W) looks like a great value and I suspect it'd have similar sonics to your Rava:

Yes that's much more reasonable. It's - 3db point looks to be 25 vs. 20 for the MK2 but the extra cash buys you over half of another one.

Wost thing about that is I live in Ohio, dreaded sales tax!!

Give me a call and I'll sell you the PE kits. Since I'm in Washington I don't have to charge you sales tax. Of course legally you are obligated to report it on your tax return at the end of the year.

I would highly recomend the kits and parts from Kevin. He gives very personal advice, spends way more time than he should.

Actually, DIY already has some of my money, I'm running their digital cable now. Next purchase will be some of those sweet JR kits since I'm a soldering retard. Good value from those guys.
