Best full range 3" driver???

Hi all,
I bought a pair of nOrh 3.0s at MAF. For the price they aren't bad especially the price I paid

What I was wondering is if you know of any kick ass 3" full range drivers that sound really fantastic. they have the TB 3" which apparantly has really good bass for a 3"er. I have heard that Fostek makes a better sounding one without the bass extention for about $50 a pair. Do any of you know of another 3" driver that sounds great? I'm not too concerned with bass extension, clean treble and lush midrange are a must. Thanks.

Can I ask if there's any particular reason you want the world's greatest 3" driver? Cheap? Cute? You're doing a Sesame Street "Number 3" show?

Or you just want to bung it in the hole in the front of those norh drums?

Yep, I'm just taking out the TB drivers and putting in something else just for grins. I know that's below you as far as technical difficulty, but for me this is as close to DIY as I care to get

I just might. Hmmmmm Actually all the TB drivers are about the same price. I wonder if nOrh tried them all and went specifically with the W3-594S.

I doubt it.

But, try it for yourself. If you ask me, that's what DIY is about, finding out for yourself instead of sucking on the teat of some other person

Alright, BUT I am going to try the Fostex first, then in a while I will try the TB's. Man I could be spending this money on some many other worthwhile things

like credit card debit.

I wanna know what you think of that driver. Hadn't really looked at it before. Should hopefully be a step up from the TBs.

You could search on the Fullrange forum (in the Links section) for opinions on it too.

Too late I already drilled four 1/4" holes in the baffle of the 3.0s. Damn I shouldn't have got so excited.
