So if you had a master woodworker and a master metalworker/welder at your disposal, what kind of rack would you build?

I am interested in an all-wood idea, *and* a wood-metal idea.

In particular, what would you build to hit the three areas of high resonance control, good looks, and low cost?

I am not a master wood worker, but I did make a maple rack, the wood is expensive but the look is fantastic,I did notice the change in sound also.

They are by the Teres Turntable people (also here at AC).  They look very good and I will build some when I get the time.  Including a TT table, unfortunately not for a Teres but my 20yo Linn Sondek.
