Hi Chuckie
Obviously, you could go with a black stained Oak or even ebony veneer. If veneering is not an option, consider a nice light textured black paint. What are your considerations?

I am thinking of a grey-black coat. Guess I´ll have to prime seriously the DM, and then find a thick textured paint.
Thanx

Hey Chuckie, Congratulations. Looks good.
From looking at your pictures I couldn't help but think that your system can sound a whole lot better still. See links below.

A large throw rug will help too.

You could use the Parts Express vinyl - either the wood-grain-look black or the textured black. If you want to veneer, use oak, then use a grain filler, then a black dye (Insider's tip: India Ink).
