Chicago Horn Meeting: Saturday November 5, 2005 in Joliet

Hi guys,

It looks like I'll finally be hosting one of these Chicago Horn meetings. It will take place in Joliet, Illinois (about 30 miles south of Chicago). The date is Saturday, Novemeber 5, 2005 11:00am-4:00pm (or so).

Anyone at all is invited...no matter if you've got an interest in Higher-Efficiency speakers or not.

If your interested in coming...just let me know. This way I could get an idea of how many and who will show up.

kinduv discouraging. wish I could make it. hang in there.

From your photo, your room doesn't look 15' wide, or 9' tall. Based on the photo, it seems like those 15" woofers would really load up the room. I can understand why you say you need more room treatment. With such high efficiency speakers, it seems like the Cary is all you would need for amplification. Did you ever try the Cary alone with current or smaller speakers?
How far away is your listening position?

The main group of guys are spread out in the Chicago area and burbs. Even though I didn't think there would be too much interest here...I figured I'd still give a post here at AC as well. But no. I really didn't expect to see a large interest

But hey...everyone is welcome

There's usually get togethers every couple of months (or so)...and everything is pretty laid back. But I've been meaning to host one for a while.
