Hey Everyone

Just wondering if anyone has experience with these speakers.  They seem like a really solid speaker for the money.  I'm really into the fact that they will do 16hz bass and are 95 db efficient   :)

I'm thinking of pairing them up with something like a Red Wine Audio Clari-T or perhaps battery powered Teac.

I listen mainly to classic rock but also enjoy orchestral on occasion.

Any and all opinions are appreciated.

Thanks!

-Jim

I have been living with a pair of Teton GS speakers for almost 2 years now
and I am very happy with them. They are faithful to the source without being
amusical.  They do require some space due to their bass capabilities and wide dispersion.  My room is about 17ft. x 25ft. and I have them on the narrow wall about 8ft. apart and listen to them at about 9.5ft. .
They will easily fill a larger space than this and the bass capabilities are not exaggerated. According to my Ratshack meter they are flat to 20Hz in my room. While they they can be powered by SET amps and do well I am using a
110 watt Tripath DIY and the added peak spl capability and headroom are
a good thing to have.
Hope this information helps, Scotty

Guys

Thanks very much for the replys.  I really need to hear a set of these (and will likely take you up on your offer alotaklipsch :)

_scotty_, what kind of music do you listen to?  Can you comment on the dynamics of these speakers?  I listen to alot of live shows which can often be very demanding on speakers.

I thought I was going to go single driver (total opposite end of the spectrum I know), but there's something about these big Reimers :D

JDUBS, The preservation of the recordings dynamic range is very good. The Tetons are alive at very low volumes and I have not really noticed any compression from them at high volumes.  I listen to jazz, classical, new age, classic rock, bluegrass, movie soundtracks,Big band, native american. I also use them for home theatre, 2ch only. The speakers are pretty accurate and your ears will probably give up before the speakers do.  On paper the amplifier power I have available coupled with the speakers efficiency should yield a 115dB peak spl capability at any frequency between 20HZ and 20kHz before room gain. This exceeds
THX spec of 105dB and I have only seen this on some Telarc CDs and the 2copies the Russian recording from Russell Dawkins with little or no compression. Most of the time I don't exceed an average spl of 85dB and frequently lower. It seems like I can hear almost all of the music without having to turn it up. I do like to crank it up occasionally. Rock music like the reissues of SteppenWolf and The Who seem to require a certain minimum volume to sound right.

_scotty_, much obliged for the detail regarding you experiences with these speakers.  They sound like they're right up my alley.

Does anyone know if there are any reviews of these speakers out there?  How about a more detailed listing of specifications.  I've found only very limited data.  I can contact Reimer directly, but if there's something easily available I would just go that route.

I love AudioCircle!

You might check with AC member clearsound/Neil, he is a dealer for Reimer. He could answer a few of your questions.[/list:u]
I've heard the speakers at his home during a "Rave", thought they sounded pretty good...and their a big speaker...both in size and sound !! [/list:u]
