Picked mine up in Indiana today (Mike met me in Lafayette).  Wow, these speakers are heavy!  They are also gorgeous, and pefect cosmetically.  They are currently breaking in with Monte Procopio.  I will wait until they break in for a day or two before commenting on the sound.

Hey John 151,
congrats I am still awaiting for my pair in cherry finish. I will call Klaus to see how my pair is progressing, in the meantime I have 5 weeks of breakin on my mono extremes and man oh man the detail is really shinning thru.. By far this was the best decision in audio equipment I have made, however Klaus claims that the loreleis are his best product. Either way my Odyssey mono extremes and tempest are music to my ears...

Peter- Are you getting light or dark cherry?  I forgot to mention that mine are light cherry.

My next upgrade is to convert my Stereo Extreme to Extreme Monos.  I was going to drop off my amp with Mike (I have an HT-3 that can fill in while my stereo stratos is gone), but I wanted to get the feel for Lors before making another upgrade.  Also, this will be a big project as I will be be placing each mono behind it's corresponding speaker.  The issue is that  I have long in-wall speaker runs, which will be converted to long, in-wall Groneber IC runs. No hurry, I have all winter to do this.

John151,

When i spoke to Klaus about the speakers and ordered them 2 weeks ago he suggested the light cherry, I believe these are the same color that was photographed in the 6moons review. I am getting so impatient, waiting for  my loreleis. The day Klaus calls me to say they are ready to be picked up at the airport I will celebrate... In the meantime the breakin of my mono extremes is an ear opening experience!!  It is kind of like slowly removing veils from your sound system, which each veil removed you get closer to the true defined, and emotion of the music!! Once again all you guys living in the area of where Klaus is located are so lucky...

If I'm not mistaken, the current light cherry is a touch darker than those pictured in the 6 moons review.  A move to more of a traditional "cherry" finish.  I've got one of the first of this hue, a replacement for the ones UPS destroyed, which were lighter like in the 6Moons pictures.  I prefer the darker shade since it matches my other cherry pieces more closely.  You can really add some depth and a bit of deeper darker color with feed-n-wax from Howard.

The wait, as you know, is worth it!  Congrats, enjoy, and keep us posted!

You are just about to come up to your one-year anniversary of being a member of the Odyssey family.  I told you that Klaus is one super person and his product can not be beaten dollar for dollar.   How is the HT-3 working out?  You will enjoy the loreleis, I’m coming up to my two-year anniversary of having my loreleis and I have not even had a single moment that I thought I wanted to upgrade, (to what?).  The bass is amazing.

I wonder how many people have become Klaus Addicts.   I know that it seems I have to call him at least every two months.  I have owned about everything he has except monos & the epiphony.  My next upgrade will be the Tempest extreme (heavy into vinyl) and maybe the mono super extreme (if there is one).  Do we need a KAA to overcome this?

Enjoy you loreleis.

The HT-3 is sitting idle s  I don't have room for it at the moment.  When I upgrade the strereo stratos to Monos I will have room as the monos will be placed behind the speakers.  Then I upgrade the recevier to the new Outlaw Pre/Pro and I am in Heaven!

It could be a Wife....  Just like when she tells me that she has saved me soooooooo much money when she goes shopping and buys all this stuff on sale.  "I've saved you $450.00 with this sale and coupons"  This first time I tried this with a purchase from Klaus, she rolled her eyes.

No, really my wife let's me buy my audio equipment without any negative feedback from her.  I'm lucky.  I have my own room with my stuff in it.

I do have to have a Klaus fix every couple of months.

i was just looking at the invoice for the first odyssey products that i ever purchased. it was a pair of Khartago monoblocks and the date on the invoice is 1/9/05 in a relatively short timespan i have purchased two seperate pairs of monoblock amplifiers the Khartagos and Extremes. a preamplifier the Tempest with remote. two pairs of loudspeakers the Epiphonys and Loreleis. a source that was personaly owned by Klaus, the Symphonic Line Vibrato cd player with remote and several flavors of Groneberg Quattro reference ic and speaker cables and TS premium ic cables. i talked to Klaus on the phone  while he was driving to the rocky mountain audiofest and he is building a 10' pair of groneberg TS premium speaker cables for my new Loreleis. does this seem like an excessive amount of purchases in such a short timespan ? i think not!....thanks.... Starting to sound like something from the Iron Chef show, or should I say "Iron Clef": who's Extreme will reign Supreme? Was geht hier vor sich, Herr Klaus?  :?:

I'm not aware of a super extreme mono but I bet that Klaus can always build one for the $$$$.

We all know that if Klaus builds it, they will come.
