I need to replace a blown tweeter in a Merlin TSM-M. What's the best way to pop out a driver without damaging the cabinet?

I always preferred a welding torch. Got the job done real quick.

You can lean the cabinet down toward the face and let it fall out over an hour or so. Be sure to prop it up with enough room to put something out soft for it to land on.  A gentle pry with a screwdriver can help too.

Try a screw one size larger than the mounting screws, one in each opposing corner of the driver. Then tighten the screws just enough to get them to bite. Now, you have two handles to pull on.

Good advice so far.  I had to take the woofer out of my Ellis 1801's once to push out the tweeter.  The tweeter wasn't damaged, I just had to make the change when I swapped xovers for the latest revision.  The tweeters were in there very tightly and the only way to get them out was to push from behind.  Worked great.
