Got sick of waisting my new hi res pj's bulb life on just upconversion and the little bit of ota hd worth watching so I picked up a JVC 5u with HDMI out for cheap..

Apparently I can use this machine to record an occasional HD movie from my ota tuner.

Thanks bubba...but I don't beleive they actually have any Ice Age dvhs left at that site.

The ones I have watched so far are Man on Fire which is fantastic and far surpasses the dvd in every way possible.
Daredevil.... which is easily better than any dvd version.
The Rundown...which is better than the dvd version.
The Ring...this ones better...but not to the degree of the others.

I saw Pearl Harbor was broadcast in HD tonight and damm if I didn't have a tape to record it

Maybe when I see LOTR or something worthwhile...I will come up with one.

I know Ice Age was supposed to be good. My step bro has it. Forgot which deck he has though. But I do recall he was most pleased with Ice Age.
