Sub/Amp noobie question
«

Hi folks,
I have a
Polk/MOMO 10" sub
from my car and I would like to use it to replace or compliment my Infinity BU1 powered sub.
The amp I used when it was in my '89 Buick Century (with the trunk rack!) was a
MTX Thunder 302
which seemed to underpower the sub.
I am trying to decide between finding a PS that can power the MTX amp at the 14.4V required to get the 400W RMS I need for the sub or using this
Dayton Amp
from parts express (or something similar). I'm not really sure how to choose a good power supply or how to compare the amps besides basics...
Thanks everyone...

Rick,
The Dayton amp is a very good sub amp. You can go here to read what some people think about it, including myself.

Corbin,
Thanks for the reply. That thread and some poking around parts express had led me to that amp. All my searches for a power supply for the mtx have turned up naught so I will direct my attention to the Dayton.
