How's those XLR outs of P-8 because inputs are unbalanced ?

The XLR output are generated from RCA (ie with -ve flipped from +ve).

Are output voltages same than with RCAs ?

And is the preamp passive or active ?

My mistake, -ve is wired to ground. XLR output is for convenient and as a second output.
The preamp is active.
