buying a multimeter

hello,

the time has come for me to get a new multimeter, and i thought i'd ask you all what- in your opinions- the best buys for them out there are.

i'm hoping to keep this as inexpensive as possible, but need to get a fairly quality one, that i won't have to replace every few years.  anyhow, thought i'd see what suggestions you all have.

25 bucks it does everything i need. works great easy to use. good deal. reccomended. sometimes the flip up display really comes in handy. despite your first thoughts. lol

I'm going to get back and finish one of my foreplays that I started about a year ago.  But this time I have better equipment... I secured some lab time so this should be good.

Here is what I'll be using...

Oh to have this kind of equipment in the garage...  :(

What price range did you have in mind?

RS 42-Range Digital Multimeter with Electric Field Detection.

Here's what I have been using.  Blew a fuse on it on Sunday though when checking a wall outlet.[/url]

well, as far as price range goes, i was hoping to keep it under $50, and even less if possible.  i've got a whole slew of projects lined up (who doesn't?), and the less i can spend on this, the quicker i can get these done.
of course, if spending $30 will get me something that's OK, but not so great, and in a few years time won't cut it anymore, but something like $60 will get me one that is all i ever need.  then i'd go for the $60.
mainly, i'm looking for the most bang for my buck here
anybody have any comments on the parts express one Haoleb bought?  so far that's looking pretty tempting.
