I've heard it can be used to hang posters.  But I myself am partial to tape.  You would need a lot of Blu-Tac to hang your SACD player on the wall, but I would imagine the space savings would be phenomenal.  You may want to test it first by placing some absorbent material underneath the player just in case it falls.  Believe me, I know - my cousin sustained a concussion when my old receiver fell off the ceiling and bonked him on the head.  He has never forgiven me.  Since then I always use more Blu-Tac than necessary.

I tried Blu-Tac on my CD player (technically it was yellow) because some discs would slip on the spindle.  It didn't work at all.  A dollop of rubber cement did the trick.

In NL I could only find the stuff in white. Somehow it's not the same.

Blu-tac is great for securing small speakers to stands.  I also use it to adjust the mass on the PR on my VMPS RM2s.  It does not dry out like mortite.  I have heard people use it on top of chips (not potato) but I would think that might affect the cooling properties.
Don't fork over $10 to places like Audio Advisor for Blu-tac.  DAP makes a similar product called Fun-tac (which is blue) that you can get at Home Depot for about a buck fitty.

I stick it on the transport of my cpd to reduce vibration and a small piece on the receiver inside the player.

Supposedly the best place for a TT is on the wall, so maybe there's some merit to this idea!

I use it on equipment that hums a bit. For instance the Radii tube amp had a noticable hum.  I put some blue tac on the back of the transoformer enclosure and it all but eliminated it.

I like to use it on Jason's mouth.  I just stuff it in there anytime something annoying is coming out (most of the time).  Works well in person.  I'm working on doing something similar to his keyboard.

I also like to cover my CD's in Blue Tak - it eliminates wobble and greatly reduces jitter.

Using it on tweeters works wonders if you find that your speakers are naturally a bit bright.  Really tames those high frequencies.

Where can one get blu tac?  I'm in Wisconsin.  My wife has about a million candles in the living room/home theater/listening room and about 3/4 of a million of them rattle like crazy during movies/listening.  Sounds like blu tac might help silence those crooked bottoms noisemakers!

Should be able to find it at office supplies or K-Mart/Wal*M

Its original purpose was to temporarily "tack" up paper to a bulletin board or something similar. You can pay big $$ at Audio Advisor or a few $$ at K-Mart. Official Blu-Tack was from the Bostik company but there are other similar/identical products in different colors/from different companies.
