Hey guys just downloaded tons of pics into my gallery for MAF.  to spare bandwidth I will just keep them in the gallery.

Check it out: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?action=gallery;area=browse;album=9

I picked up a pair of wood drum 3.0's from the nOrh booth today, I can't wait to hook them up :) I'm having way too much fun.  You all need to make it out here next year.  It's in the middle of no-where and whether or not it is actually "mid-west" is entirely debatable, but man what a time!!! :)  8)

Jason,

Thanks for the pics.  Wish I could have made it to MAF.  Thanks to the DAM for keeping those of us who didn't make it in the loop.

IMO, I would call Lima, OH the Mid-East.  But they're certainly entitled to call it anything they want.  8)

First glance, they are at least as good as the old ones.  Beyond that I refuse to comment as I heard them in a completely alien system and there's no telling what equipment was doing what.

Klaus had an extreme mono on display along with one of the Karthago (sp?) amps opened up.

Great pics, thanks for taking the time to post them. Can anyone expound on the marble speakers under the 4.0s in the nOrh room? I seem to remember pics of something similar to these being made for Marbles a while ago.

I can expand on them .... These were made for me, like the first ones.

When I first asked MB to make me a pair, I let him know they needed to be wall mounted.  The first ones came in way to big for that.

These seem to be just the right size, if maybe still a little heavy.

They use the same Scan-speak Revelator 9900 tweeter and 5.5" Revelator woof.  So all my HT speakers will have the same drivers.

I have heard that after the mason made the first pair, he told MB they were so difficult to make that he did not want to make them again.

MB convinced him to make this smaller pair for me, but I suspect that there will be no more made like this.  They are bottom ported and 10 liters of cabinet space.

Just got back from MAF. Some random thoughts.

1) AC people are cool. All of them.
2) I will own line arrays someday.
3) Lima has more than its share of really scary looking chicks.
4) Didn't listen to any horns.
5) My new Tempest kicks the crap out of my previous tube pre's. Who says sand amps can't sound liquid smooth?
6) The only thing better than beer...is free beer. Thanks guys.
7) Klaus's package system is the audio steal of the year.
8 )  A Teres TT belongs in MOMA. Beautiful.
9) VMPS 626R's are killer.
10) I'll be back next year.

BTW: Jason took such great pix, I didn't bother.

Thanks to Mike for a nice event.

Those Paul Horning and Little Big Horn (sp?) speakers in the Madisound room look interesting.  Does anyone know if Madisound is going to offer these in kit form?  Also what electronics were used and how did they sound for anyone who was in attendance.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Looks like you guys have load of fun at the fest, wish that I could join one day.

BTW, I see a lot of cool gear out there.

I interest to know how the SL CD stact up against those Vinyl playback.

May I know a bit more on the the arm/cart combination of the following setup?
