Hi Jim,

I purchased my kit in and parts from Mouser in mid-May, but am just getting around to assembling it now (project backlog). As I was populating the circuit boards I noticed: a) they use the same parts numbering, b) if the same values of components correspond to the same numbers on the boards - there aren't enough of them in the parts list.

I read a post in the archives which explains that the Kleaner and iRIAA were originally seperate products later combined in the PRO, so that explains the numbering. But, what about the parts list count?

Do the same numbered locations on the two boards take the same value components?

If not, what parts do I need to order for the iRIAA board?

Got it all covered, parts are on the way from Digikey.

Only one channel of the iRIAA board is used.

Hey, don't you know what the word "vacation" means?  :nono:

Thanks for clearing that up, Jim. One more question - where does "P" on the iRIAA board connect to?

BTW, I really enjoyed soldering up the kit. It was a great opportunity to brush up on my mediocre soldering skills. I'm just waiting on some 33k resistors to finish it off.

As it turns out, I've got a hundred foot spool of Belden 89259 coax cable sitting right here waiting to be burned in before I make interconnects of it. I've also got several new 75 ohm digital cables coming next week for a 10 day demo.

Now, I won't have to waste the majority of that time trying to break them in.

I don't know how I did this.  It should connect to the "D" output.  Must have been a typo, or I was trying to explain something...

Let's hope so.  The effect of soldering changes things, as does adding unburnt connectors.  It should get you most of the way there, though.

Another easy solution is to get female-to-female RCA adapters and just daisy chain several completed interconnects.

Thanks for tip on daisy-chaining IC's, I'll get some connectors.

What's the rules for using the "Lo-Med-Hi" settings?

The rule is that I didn't know what was necessary when I designed the original board.  Turns out I never use anything but "HI".

Well, that makes things simple enough!

It will be interesting to see how the FryKleaner helps break in my S&B TX-102 mkIII transformer volume control(TVC).

Time for bed, though.

Thanks Jim, I'll post how things work out.

Ok, my last question....
Well, that may be an exaggeration....

On the iRIAA board, there are two C1 & C2 slots each corresponding to C51(2nf Styrene) & C52(6.8nf Styrene) in the manual's Parts List.

According to the list, I only need one capacitor for C1 & C2 - is this right?

From the assembled picture on the website, it appears that one C1 & C2 is left blank.

Just wanted to make sure.
